MEET YOUR HOST

Andrew Wood.

Marketer, author of more than 80 books and strategist to over 3,000 golf courses, resorts and real estate developments in 22 countries.

Born in Oxford, England, Andrew crossed the Atlantic in 1980 chasing professional golf. Talent failed him; hustle didn’t. A small karate school sparked an obsession with marketing that grew into one of America’s fastest-growing franchises, with more than 400 locations, and later into Legendary Marketing.

The Take a Genius series grew from a lifelong habit of studying how extraordinary people get extraordinary results. Across decades of building businesses, he noticed that some of the sharpest lessons in sales, leadership and resilience came from women whose stories were rarely told as business stories. This is the first of three books gathering 150 of history’s most remarkable women.
